Well our kumquat of a baby (according to babyzone.com), currently known as Baby Belloni had his (I’ve been told by my significant other that I am to refer to the baby as a he, to prevent “jinxing” the chances that it is a boy) first ultra sound today.
I was unable to attend as I was enjoying the wonder that is WIC training. I’m sure I will have more to say about the WIC changes that are coming down the pipe at a later date, but for the time being I’ll just say that it will be lots of fun for those of us on the retail side of things, and I’ll leave it at that for now.
Baby Belloni is apparently doing well, as well as a kumquat can be doing I suppose, but the good news that he IS there, so April wasn’t crazy and is indeed pregnant. Considering our last doctor didn’t do any sort of official test or anything, this is our first official confirmation that we are indeed having a baby. I suppose that if no one had confirmed it, we would have known for sure when he came kicking and screaming his way out in 7 months.
April goes back at the end of the month for another ultrasound and hopefully I can go with her this time. At some point closer to time for Baby Belloni to make his appearance, she will start getting weekly shots to try and keep him from making as early of an appearance as his sister did. We were lucky that Carleigh was as healthy as she was and as enjoyable as our stay in the NICU was, hopefully Baby Belloni can avoid the NICU all together.
I’m really starting to dislike calling him Baby Belloni. Brett named one of his unborn children Klaus, so I need a cool name like that. Perhaps Bernard or something to that effect. I’ll have to think a bit more on that. Also as I close just a reminder and a disclaimer before people start spreading rumors all around Brewster:
WE DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE THAT BABY BELLONI (BERNARD) IS A BOY, WE ARE JUST CALLING HIM A HIM TO HELP ALONG THE CHANCES. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, KUMQUATS DO NOT HAVE EASILY DISTINGUISHABLE GENDERS SO IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR US TO KNOW AT THIS POINT THAT HE IS INDEED A HE.
You can call HIM what ever you want until he gets here then WE will name him something better than what ever you and tterB come up with!
I take offense to april’s comment! I think we can come up with fantastic names for our unborn, not quite distinguishable gender children. I think you should go with Gladstone. It’s perfect.
Gladstone, you want to call him a happy rock?
Well, YOU aren’t the only one pregnant here, at least that is what Katie told me when she was pregnant, so Chris has an opinion too.
